eBay in Australia acknowledged that some users were having difficulty logging into the platform and some sellers were also having problems refunding purchases to sellers.
The company posted the following note on Friday morning Australian time on its notice board:
“We’ve heard that some sellers are having issues when:
- Trying to process refunds on the eBay site: they see the error message saying “we couldn’t process your refund”.
- Attempt to connect to eBay: it is prompted to connect several times.
Our teams are aware of these issues and are actively working to resolve them. We appreciate your patience and will post a new community update when we have it.“
An Australian seller posted on the community forum that he was advised to try refunding tomorrow as there is currently no workaround to refund a buyer otherwise.
eBay hasn’t provided any details as to whether these two issues are somehow related or what might have caused them.
