Social media was in turmoil with the news that the ‘Nigeria Air’ project was recruiting staff.
A viral letterhead purportedly belonging to Nigeria Air currently circulating on social media carried the news that the airline was recruiting.
The statement on the letterhead was unsigned and does not include the name or designation of any official responsible for the document.
The letterhead with the Nigeria Air logo reads: “Dear All, If you are interested in employment with Nigeria Air Limited, please send your CV and cover letter to our Human Resources Department. Email: [email protected]
“Your application will be carefully considered, and if we have a suitable position, you will be contacted.”
But the federal Department of Aviation on Thursday called the report false.
Speaking exclusively to LEADERSHIP, the aviation minister’s special adviser on media and publicity, James Oduadu, said the letter announcing the recruitment was fake and did not come from the ministry.
He said: “Nigeria Air is not recruiting, what people are sharing is an unsigned and undated letter. It does not come from us.
