So far, it is unknown what is causing the problem.
Fortunately, it doesn’t appear that all users have been affected so far.
But those unlucky ones who said they get an “error” pop-up advising them to “please wait a few minutes before trying again”.
Others receive an even more confusing message, reading “feedback_required”.
Many have taken to Twitter to try and find out what’s going on.
“Instagram doesn’t allow people to re-login,” one user said.
“Not just me, but hundreds of people facing the same problem.”
Another joked: “Dear @elonmusk, please buy Instagram and make sure it never crashes again.”
Complaints apparently increased around 7.30am BST.
It seems that some have started to recover the service after hours of waiting.

“After 2 hours it’s completely fixed,” said one user.
This all comes after Instagram secretly changed its logo, as well as a new font.
