Quentin Tarantino: Are you a fan of Quentin Tarantino? Filmmaker to launch ‘The Video Archives’ podcast in July

LOS ANGELES: Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino and his friend and frequent collaborator Roger Avary have teamed up to launch a podcast where the director-screenwriter duo will discuss their favorite films. ‘The Video Archives’ podcast will see the duo talk about their favorite 80s B-series and discover new tracks. It will be produced by SiriusXM subsidiary Stitcher, the company said in a press release posted on its official website.

Tarantino, known for directing the iconic ‘Inglourious Basterds’ films, the ‘Kill Bill’ franchise and the Oscar-winning ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’, and Avary first met while working at the Video Archive Rental Store in Manhattan.

The duo worked together on “Pulp Fiction” and share credit for the story behind the 1994 cult classic.

Some of the tracks that will be discussed on the podcast are “Dark Star”, “Moonraker”, “Demonoid”, “Messenger of Death”, and “Piranha”.

Gala Avary, daughter of Roger Avary, will host the podcast.

“We never imagined that 30 years after working together behind the video archive counter, we would be together again doing exactly the same thing we did back then: passionately talking about movies on VHS.

“We love discussing movies, and we want to welcome you to the Video Archive Podcast to hang out with us and the Archive’s New Employee Gala, and check out the hidden VHS gems on our shelves,” Tarantino and Avary said in a joint press release.

The premiere of “The Video Archives” will take place on July 19.
