No matter how much you hate WhatsApp, it is undoubtedly the most important messaging app in the world. With over 2 billion active users, the Meta-owned service is used in over 180 countries around the world.
With developers coming out with new features every few months, WhatsApp users frequently encounter bugs and issues with the service, some of which render a bunch of features completely useless until they are fixed.
In July this year, the company announced that it would allow WhatsApp users to connect through multiple devices at once, which other apps such as Telegram had had for some time.
However, unlike Telegram, WhatsApp has decided to limit the multi-device login feature to just 4 devices, which is quite ironic since the feature has the word “multi” in its name.
Last week, the developers appear to have rolled out the new feature to a group of users running the beta version of the app. But WhatsApp users are now reports that they cannot connect to the WhatsApp web.
Hello guys, we use whatsapp for our business. We have over 20,000 cats. after being forced to log in as a multice device our login to whatsapp desktop/web no longer works. It no longer connects at all. I have a suspicion because we have a lot of cats. Anyone have any advice?

Hi everyone, I can’t connect to the whatsapp web. Today I received a notification telling me to update WhatsApp Web so that I can have WhatsApp online without having to be logged in from my smartphone. Since I updated the site, I can no longer log in. The site shows the same message and gets stuck there. Anyone know what could be happening or how to fix this problem?

Many are angry that the update completely broke functionality for those who wanted to use WhatsApp on their secondary browsers or devices.
The only workaround for the problem at the moment is to leave beta testing and move to the stable channel. While it’s understandable that the beta has some issues, those who unknowingly switched are now confused and wondering how to fix it.
Fortunately, WhatsApp developers seem to be aware of the problem. However, they did not share an ETA on when it will be fixed.
In the meantime, if you need to use the WhatsApp web and you have no other choice, we advise you to leave the WhatsApp beta channel and join it once the web connection issue is resolved for good.
As always, we’ll keep an eye on the matter and update this article as needed.

5:15 p.m. (IST): According to WABetaInfo, users who face issues while using WhatsApp Desktop due to the recent cross-device update should uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp Desktop.

12:31 p.m. (IST): WABetaInfo on Twitter informed that some WhatsApp desktop users might face issues when logging in due to an issue in Desktop Beta. Also, this issue might be fixed in the next update.
